Golan Day Two

Tuesday morning we davened, ate a filling breakfast, and were off.

The day before, we learned that volcanoes formed the shape and landscape of the Golan Heights. The first stop - day two- Ben Tal volcano. From on top of the mountain we were able to see Syria. While on top of the mountain we went down into an abandoned bunker that was used by the IDF and listened to the story of a brave Israeli spy.

Next spot –ICE SKATING!! in Metulla. We're almost ready for the Olympics.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch of cold cut sandwiches on the grass outside the skating rink.

After lunch we played basketball. Some of us forgot the ball and just climbed the wall.

Next we went to the Chula Nature Reserve and watched an Imax movie about bird migration.

.

We ended the day with a walk around Tiberius and a delicious dinner.
